This is the second part of my reflections from my solo trip.

If you haven’t read the first part yet—check it out here.

I recently came back from a 10-day solo trip around Miami, and it was AMAZING!
It turned out to be the best solo trip I could have imagined—full of positive emotions, beautiful landscapes, and incredible new connections!

This time, my reflections are more focused on work and business—less about travel itself and more about what this trip taught me about life and success.

(If you missed Takeaways 1–3, check them out in Part 1, edition from two weeks ago.)

Takeaway #4: Build a life and business that let you do what you love NOW, not just when you retire.

During my boat trip, I met two retired couples who were finally spending their time traveling the world.

They had nice savings and could afford to do this comfortably. But something they said really stuck with me:

They had spent their entire lives saving, postponing joy, and skipping out on fun when their friends were out enjoying life.

While I love the idea of a well-earned retirement filled with travel, I don’t want to wait until then to enjoy my life.

Because the truth is—you never know how long you’ll have.

That’s why I’m building my own business—so that I can create a lifestyle where I work AND live fully now. I don’t want to sacrifice years of my life just to start enjoying it later.

And honestly? I might not even want to retire if I’m doing work that excites me, energizes me, and allows me to grow. I’m designing my life so that I don’t feel the need to escape from it later.

💡
Challenging question for you:

👉 What is something you’re waiting to do when you retire?
👉 Why aren’t you doing it now?
👉 What’s a smaller version of it that you could start today?

Takeaway #5: “Die with memories, not dreams.”

I saw this quote on a bench in a state park, and it hit me hard.

Last year, I created a list of 30 things I want to do in my lifetime—and I even set age goals for when I want to accomplish each one.

Since then, I’ve already checked off several of them.

The simple act of writing down your dreams and setting real timelines makes you take them more seriously—and pushes you to actually make them happen.

I don’t want to wake up 10 years from now, realizing that I’ve been dreaming without doing.

💡
Challenging question for you:

👉 Do you have a list of things you want to do in your life?
👉 Have you set a timeline or an age goal for each one?
👉 If not—do it now! Think about how you can turn your dreams into memories instead of keeping them stuck in the "someday" phase.

Takeaway #6: Use your superpowers for your own benefit!

I coach high achievers and help them rewire their brains to reach their goals faster.

I share powerful tips, tricks, and frameworks to help my clients achieve amazing results.

But do you know what I realized?

I don’t always apply those same techniques to myself as much as I should.

Yes, I have my own coach.
Yes, I have a business coach.
Yes, I practice mindfulness, journaling, and self-reflection.
Yes, I read a lot and listen to valuable podcasts.

But I also want to take even more action—using my own knowledge and skills on myself.

So, I went through my own notes, frameworks, and coaching tools, picked one that I knew would help me the most right now, and started applying it to my own life.

This is something I’ll be doing more of—not just teaching and guiding others but using my superpowers to my own advantage.

Because here’s the thing: We’re often better at helping others than we are at helping ourselves.

But it doesn’t have to be that way! You can start working more consciously on this and create real change in your own life.

Yes, it’s easier when you have a coach, mentor, or accountability partner—but even if you don’t feel ready to work with someone yet, you can start helping yourself using the strengths you already have.

💡
Challenging question for you:

👉 What is YOUR superpower?
👉 How can you use it today in a small but intentional way to your advantage?
👉 Will you commit to doing it?

Closing Thoughts

This solo trip gave me so much clarity—not just about travel, but about how I want to live, work, and grow.

I realized:
✅ I don’t want to postpone joy—I want to design a life I love now.
✅ Writing down dreams and setting deadlines makes them real.
✅ I need to use my own superpowers on myself—just as much as I do for others.

This time alone gave me a lot of space to think and reflect on how I want to continue evolving my newsletter and coaching business.

So—stay tuned! Some exciting things are launching later this year, including powerful brain coaching trainings.

For now, I’ll leave you with this:

👉 What’s one action you can take today to move closer to the life you really want?
